What it is NOT.
The Multiplying Model does NOT advocate:
1. Branching, or dismissing members of your church to start another church. You will not lose members of your church if you use this model.
2. Missionary fund raising. In fact, you should plan to start another church with very little money.
3. Team missions. Paul's missionary team, except for those that sat as a church, consisted of himself and one other person.
4. College led efforts.
5. A group of churches banding together to plant a church.
6. A single meeting or week of meetings that results in a church plant.
7. Isolated outpost missions. The isolated model may have to be used in remote places, but not too often in America.
8. We are not teaching foreign missions either, although the principles shared could be used on the foreign field once the first church is established.
